🔗 Push-fit adapter 32 mm to 16 mm
This Growrilla adapter lets you connect a flexible or rigid 16 mm hose (the standard for float valves, drip irrigation lines and most hydroponic accessories) to the main 32 mm circuit of an RDWC 2.0 kit. It slots in via the standard push-fit at a free point on the circuit (usually on the control bucket).
You thus get a controlled branch to a float valve that automatically maintains the water level, a programmable fill solenoid valve, a manual drain or any other 16 mm accessory. This is the part that makes the system self-sufficient for watering.
Technical specifications
- Inlet: Growrilla 32 mm push-fit
- Outlet: 16 mm barbed
- Shape: straight or 90-degree elbow
- Material: moulded polypropylene
- Sealing: built-in EPDM seal
- Compatibility: all Growrilla RDWC 2.0 kits
🔀 Straight or elbow: which to choose
The straight version is the standard, to use when the space around the bucket allows it and you want maximum flow (minimal pressure loss). The 90-degree elbow version is valuable when the grow box is compact and you need to run the fill hose along a wall without interfering with the bucket circulation.
Both versions have the same inner diameter and the same pressure resistance. The choice comes down solely to the geometric constraint of your setup.
🔧 Advanced uses: automate and drain
Beyond the classic connection of a float valve, this adapter opens up several useful scenarios:
- Automatic filling from a buffer reservoir placed higher up.
- Manual drain to quickly empty the controller between two cycles.
- Programmable solenoid valve: standard 16 mm fitting for timed control.
- Secondary drip line: for side seedlings around the RDWC.
💡 Tips: how many to plan for
For a classic setup with automation, count on 2 adapters: one for the water-inlet float valve, one for the purge drain. On more complete setups with automatic nutrient dosing, go up to 3 or 4. Choose the straight version by default and the elbow when tight space requires an angle.
