The eSHa Minaroll supplement provides ornamental fish with vitamins, minerals and trace elements every week, in freshwater and seawater alike. It is especially suited to tanks fed a single food, or to fish that are recovering, growing or spawning. The dose is 20 drops per 100 litres, and a 20 ml bottle treats 2,000 litres.
This eSHa Minaroll dropper bottle provides your fish with vitamins, minerals and trace elements, once a week, in freshwater and in seawater alike. It is intended first of all for fish that have no natural food available, those in a closed tank fed on a single complete food, and it suits recovery after illness just as well as routine maintenance. One 20 ml bottle treats 2,000 litres.
🧪 Vitamins, minerals and trace elements
A fish uses more vitamins when it is fighting an illness, when it is recovering from transport or from degraded water, and during periods of rapid growth or spawning. A varied diet does not always cover this need, and certain antibiotic treatments also cause a vitamin A deficiency, which shows up as a visible decline in the fish's condition. The supplement fills these gaps in your fish, which supports their immune defences, reduces stress and speeds up recovery after a treatment or an injury.
💧 Each week's dose
The usual dose is 20 drops per 100 litres, once a week. Add it just after your regular water change, holding the bottle upside down and squeezing the dropper, since 20 drops equal 1 ml. Base the dose on the actual volume of water in the tank, with decor deducted: in a 60-litre aquarium packed with rocks, 10 to 12 drops are enough. During treatment, remove any fresh activated carbon and resins from the filter, and switch off the UV lamp and, in saltwater, the protein skimmer, as this equipment reduces the effect of the supplement. The filter keeps running day and night, and you feed your fish as usual.
What the reverse osmosis unit removes before the tank
A reverse osmosis unit removes the dissolved salts from tap water, and the mineral composition of your tank then depends on what you add to it. Your fish find fewer trace elements there than in mains water, and the weekly supplement covers precisely this need. A 6-in-1 test kit shows you where your water starts from before you set a routine.
For ornamental fish only, never for fish intended for eating
This supplement is for ornamental fish only, and it excludes animals intended for consumption. In an aquaponic system where you eat the fish, it is the quality of the feed and the stability of the water that play this role, as explained in the article on fish welfare.
The same weekly dose covers every situation: a fish coming out of a treatment course, a fish arriving after transport, breeding fish during the spawning period or young fish in full growth. If one of your fish shows signs of illness, a targeted treatment such as the eSHa 2000 treatment comes first, and the supplement then takes over during recovery.
🌊 Freshwater and seawater
The supplement can be used in tropical aquariums, coldwater tanks and marine aquariums. It is well tolerated by fish, corals, invertebrates, plants and the bacteria in the filter, which makes it suitable for use in a reef tank without having to move anything. It can be combined with all eSHa freshwater and seawater products, and with a product from another brand only if its manufacturer expressly permits it. The formula contains no artificial preservatives, so a flaky deposit may form at the bottom of the bottle: it is harmless and dissolves in the aquarium, and you simply shake the bottle before each dose.
