White spot disease, caused by the parasite Ichthyophthirius multifiliis, is the most common pathology in freshwater aquariums. eSHa EXIT is a specific treatment developed in the Netherlands to eliminate this parasite at all stages of its cycle, without copper or formalin, and safe for invertebrates.
🦠 How eSHa EXIT works
The Ichthyophthirius parasite alternates between two forms : the free-swimming form (tomite) that swims in the water to infect fish, and the adult form (trophont) protected under the fish's skin. eSHa EXIT acts simultaneously on both forms, unlike most older treatments that only kill free tomites and allow the cycle to repeat itself.
The result : visible white spots on the fins and body disappear within 3 to 7 days, and reinfection is stopped from the first day of treatment.
⚡ Dosage and 3-day treatment
The standard treatment lasts 3 consecutive days, at a rate of 25 drops per 100 L per day. The 20 ml bottle treats up to 800 L in total, which is 4 complete treatments for a 200 L tank. For resistant strains, the treatment can be extended at half dose for an additional 2 to 3 days.
Slightly increasing the water temperature to 28 °C during treatment accelerates the parasite's cycle and improves treatment effectiveness. Maintain good oxygenation with an air stone or air pump, as warm water contains less oxygen.

eSHa EXIT is one of the few white spot treatments without copper or formalin, two substances traditionally toxic to invertebrates and some scale-less catfish (Corydoras, Botia, eels, sensitive angelfish).
It is compatible with : shrimp (Neocaridina, Caridina), snails, mussels, aquatic plants, biological filter. It can be combined without dose reduction with eSHa 2000 and HEXAMITA if several pathologies coexist.
Before each treatment, remove activated carbon, absorbent resins, UV, and oxidizersfrom the filter. These media absorb the active ingredient and cancel out the product's effectiveness. The biological filter (foams, ceramics) and pump remain on.
