🛡️ Safety and compatibility
PROTALON 707 is well tolerated by freshwater fish and aquatic plants at the recommended doses. It kills snails: Neritina, ramshorn, apple snails and others must be removed from the tank before the course.
Compatibility with shrimp (Neocaridina, Caridina) is uncertain. As a precaution, move ornamental shrimp to a separate tank.
During the course, switch off the CO₂ and stop all plant fertilisers: both feed the algae and undermine the treatment's effectiveness.
Also remove the activated carbon, absorbent resins and UV, which absorb the active ingredient. The biological filter and the pump stay running.
