💧 How a UV-C sterilizer works
The water flows around a lamp emitting germicidal UV-C radiation. This radiation destroys the DNA of suspended micro-organisms: single-celled algae (responsible for green water), free bacteria and parasites. The result: clear water and a markedly reduced infection risk for your fish.
The bacteria fixed in the filter are not affected: your tank's biological filtration stays intact.
🔆 Effectiveness doubled by the reflector
The lamp is surrounded by a reflective, polished stainless-steel sheet that sends the UV rays back towards the water and thus doubles the treatment's effectiveness at equal electrical power. An indicator LED permanently shows that the UV-C tube is working.

🧰 Installation and tips
Mounting: connect the sterilizer to the return hose of your external filter, after the filter, using the supplied connectors. Fix it to the wall with the included bracket, lamp facing down preferably.
Commissioning: always run the water before switching on the lamp. Match the pump flow to the chosen power for an optimal contact time between the water and the radiation.
Maintenance: replace the UV-C tube about once a year, as its germicidal power declines over time even if the lamp still lights up. Clean the quartz tube in case of limescale deposit.
