This liquid growth fertiliser, made from 100% plant-based ingredients, feeds your foliage plants, leafy vegetables, and young plants in soil, coco fibre, and biological hydroponics. It is dosed at a maximum of 2 ml per litre, and its organic matter also supports the microbial life in your grow medium.
Approved for use in organic farming, it is sold under the label "Engrais universel croissance".
The summary
- What you receive: a bottle of liquid NPK 3-1-5 fertiliser, entirely plant-based, labelled "Universal Growth Fertiliser", available alone or as a set with the flowering version.
- The dose: from 0.25 ml per litre at first root development up to 2 ml per litre during full growth.
- Suitable crops: soil, pot, coco fibre and organic hydroponics, with an oxygenated solution.
- For organic growing: approved for use in organic agriculture, free from animal material, and not classified as hazardous.
Plant-based organic fertiliser for the growth phase, in soil, on coco fibre and in bioponic systems
An organic fertiliser does not behave like a mineral fertiliser. Its nutrients are largely bound to plant matter, which the micro-organisms in the grow medium gradually break down into forms the roots can absorb. This liquid NPK 3-1-5, free from any animal matter, supplies both the nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium needed for growth, and the organic matter that sustains soil life. This is the fertiliser for the vegetative stage, before the first flowers appear, after which you gradually replace it with the flowering version.
🌱 Dosage by growth stage
The dose is progressive. At the first roots, start at 0.25 ml per litre, then move to 0.5 ml per litre at the first true leaves and 2 ml per litre during full growth, which is the maximum dose. At pre-flowering, reduce the dose to 1 ml per litre, while simultaneously introducing the bloom version at the same dose. In soil or in pots, use 10 ml in a 5-litre watering can at each watering according to the growth stage, with at least one plain-water watering per week.
In open ground, the product can also be used to prepare the soil 2 weeks before planting, with two waterings per week at 0.5 ml per litre, and the same mixture revives the activity of a compost heap or a mulched bed. This microbial activity does, however, depend on temperature. It slows noticeably below 15 °C, so you will benefit from keeping the grow medium and the solution above 20 °C, planting into already-warmed soil and watering with tepid water.
Combining fulvic acid with the growth fertiliser
In an organic programme, liquid fulvic acid is added at 2 ml per litre, from the first roots through to pre-flowering, that is, throughout the entire growth phase. It provides virtually no nutrients itself, but it helps roots to absorb those released by the fertiliser more effectively. Pour it in separately, after the fertiliser, stirring between the two additions.
Shake the bottle and dilute each product separately
This fertiliser contains suspended matter that settles to the bottom of the bottle. Shake it before each use, add it to the water separately from other products, then mix before adding the next one. Rinse your measuring tools afterwards, as organic residue degrades quickly inside them. Store the bottle upright, between 5 and 30 °C.
💧 In organic hydroponics
This liquid is one of the few organic fertilisers designed for soilless growing in a recirculating solution, known as bioponic cultivation. The solution must remain in constant movement and well oxygenated, with an operating pH between 6.5 and 7, higher than in mineral hydroponics. Start the system 2 days before planting, using 0.5 ml per litre of each fertiliser along with an addition of Trichoderma powder. A sudden drop in pH indicates die-off of the micro-organisms, so monitor the solution regularly with a pH drop test kit.
📦 Formats, bundles and storage
The product is available in 500 ml and 1 litre bottles, and in 5 and 10 litre containers. The 500 ml, 1 litre, and 5 litre sizes are also available as a bundle with the flowering fertiliser NPK 2-3-4, one of each size, so you can manage the entire cycle with a single order. The growth fertiliser is a black liquid with a soya-like smell, a pH of approximately 4 before dilution, and its safety data sheet does not classify it as hazardous. It keeps for 2 years from its manufacturing date. At 2 ml per litre, the 1 litre bottle prepares 500 litres of solution, which is more than enough for the growth stage of many potted plants, whether grown in coco fibre or in a lightweight peat-free compost.

Organic liquid, powder or mineral fertiliser?
All three support the growth phase. The two organic fertilisers work through the microbial life in the grow medium; the mineral fertiliser is managed by conductivity on coco coir.
