This liquid mineral flowering fertiliser, with a NPK 0-5-4 formula and no nitrogen, delivers the phosphorus needed for flower initiation and the potassium for fruit fill, along with 3% magnesium and 5% sulphur. It forms the third part of the TriPart system, for use in hydroponics, coco fibre and soil.
The summary
- What it is: a liquid mineral fertiliser NPK 0-5-4, rich in magnesium and sulphur, and the third part of the TriPart system.
- When it comes into play: present from the first roots at a low dose, it becomes dominant at flowering, where it reaches 2.4 ml per litre.
- How much to use: 2.4 ml per litre in hydroponic flowering, 2.1 ml per litre in soil. The calculator converts for your reservoir.
- Zero nitrogen — why: nitrogen stimulates leaf growth at the expense of flowers. That role belongs to the Grow, which is reduced at this stage.
- Suitable crops: tomato, strawberry, pepper, aubergine, cucumber — anything harvested as fruit.
- Sizes and dispatch: 500 ml, 1 L, 5 L, 10 L, or 60 L, dispatched from France.
Phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and sulphur, nitrogen-free, for flowering
TriPart Bloom is the flowering fertiliser in the TriPart system, a liquid mineral fertiliser with an NPK formula of 0-5-4, enriched with magnesium and sulphur. It is the former FloraBloom, with only the label changed. During flowering, the plant requires phosphorus to form its buds and potassium to fill its fruits, and no longer needs nitrogen in significant quantities.
🌸 The moment of the first Bloom
A plant doesn't switch overnight from vegetative growth to flowering, it gradually builds up the reserves that will support its blooms, and phosphorus plays a role from the very moment of rooting. Bloom therefore accompanies the entire cycle at a dose that varies considerably, rather than being introduced from a set date. It is the ratio between the three parts that changes, never the presence of any one of them.
🍅 Switching between Grow and Bloom
In growth
Grow leads at 1.8 ml per litre, Bloom stays back at 0.6. The plant is producing leaves and stems.
In pre-flowering
All three are close, around 1.5 to 2 ml per litre. The target pH moves to 6.4–6.8.
In flowering
Bloom moves to the front at 2.4 ml per litre, Grow drops back to 0.8. In soil, allow 2.1 ml per litre.
Before concluding there is a deficiency and increasing the dose, check the pH of your reservoir. From pre-flowering onwards, the target pH shifts to 6.4 to 6.8, and outside this range phosphorus binds to the calcium or iron in the solution, making it unavailable even though it is present. This mistake leads to overdosing an element that is already in the solution. Our article on pH regulation explains how to keep it in check.
Bloom is added from the first week
Waiting for the first flowers to appear before starting Bloom means intervening too late, as the plant builds its roots and phosphorus reserves well before that point. At the first roots, the dose to add is 0.5 ml per litre, and it never drops to zero. What changes throughout the cycle is simply the ratio with Grow, a late catch-up can never replace a regular supply from the very start.
The trio that Bloom completes
Bloom does not make up a complete solution on its own. Choose TriPart Micro in the version that matches your water, and TriPart Grow, which stays in use right through to harvest. Grow supplies the nitrogen that Bloom does not contain, and Micro provides the iron, calcium and trace elements.
🧪 Magnesium and sulphur
Beyond phosphorus and potassium, the formula contains two elements that are often overlooked but make a real difference here. Magnesium, at 3%, is the atom at the heart of chlorophyll, and plants in full fruiting quickly run short of it, something you will notice on the lower leaves, where the blade yellows between veins that remain green. Sulphur, at 5%, is involved in the production of amino acids and aromatic compounds, and its effect shows less in plant vigour than in the flavour of what you harvest.
📦 Sizes and storage
On a fruiting crop, where flowering lasts several months, the Bloom is consumed more quickly than the Grow, since its dose is multiplied by four between the growth and flowering stages while the Grow dose drops by more than half. A set of three bottles of equal size therefore becomes unbalanced with use, and it is often sensible to buy the Bloom in a larger size than the other two. Keep the bottles sealed, away from light and frost: the concentrate keeps for 5 years after opening. Any sediment that appears after cold storage redissolves with a simple shake, without any deterioration in the product.
Technical specifications
The essentials
- Formula
- NPK 0-5-4No nitrogen. Phosphorus and potassium are the two drivers of flowering and fruiting.
- Role in the system
- Flowering partPresent at every stage, dominant from flowering onwards.
- Flowering dose
- 2.4 ml per litreHydroponics and coco. In soil, 2.1 ml per litre.
- Growth dose
- 0.6 ml per litreIts dose never drops to zero, even when Grow is dominant.
Magnesium and sulphur
- Magnesium
- 3% MgOThe central atom of chlorophyll. A deficiency shows on the lower leaves, which turn yellow between the veins.
- Sulphur
- 5% SO3Involved in amino acids and aromatic compounds. This is the part of the formula that influences flavour.
Parameters and safety
- Target pH during flowering
- 6.4 to 6.8Higher than in growth, where the target is 5.5 to 6.5.
- Appearance
- Pink liquid, odourlessThe colour prevents mixing up the containers when measuring out doses.
- Regulatory classification
- Not classified as hazardousNo hazard pictograms, no warning statements. Safety advice P101 and P102.
- Storage
- Upright, sealed, in a cool placeStore in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from foodstuffs. A crystalline deposit indicates storage at too low a temperature.
To budget for separately
- TriPart Micro
- Soft water or hard waterIt carries iron and calcium, which are absent from the other two parts.
- TriPart Grow
- 1 growth bottleIt stays at 0.8 ml per litre throughout flowering.

Grow, Micro, Bloom: what each one does in the TriPart system
The three bottles are not interchangeable and none of them is used on its own. Bloom takes precedence during flowering and fruiting, while the Grow dose is reduced.

of TriPart Bloom, the flowering nutrient for hydroponics and coco fibre
This dose applies to the flowering stage. During growth, the Bloom drops to 0.6 ml per litre, and at first root development to 0.5. It is always used alongside the Grow and Micro, never on its own. During flowering, the target conductivity is 1.4 to 2.2 mS and pH 6.4 to 6.8.
