There Crimean Black is one of the most popular varieties among heirloom tomato lovers. Native to Crimea, this tomato has dark purple skin and juicy flesh, offering a mild, rich, and very fragrant flavor with a slight sweetness.

Robust and productive, the Crimean Black grows vigorously in open ground, in a greenhouse or in an aquaponic system, provided there is good sunlight and rich, well-drained soil.

  • Sowing under cover : from February to April, between 20 and 25°C.
  • Rise : in 7 to 12 days.
  • Transplanting : in open ground from mid-May, after the last frosts.
  • Spacing : 60 cm between each plant.
  • Tip : Prune lightly to aerate the plant and encourage fruit growth.
