Pond filters

Pressurised or submersible filters, with or without UV-C, to keep pond water clear.

-50% on a selection of fish food

A pond filter traps particles and hosts the bacteria that convert the ammonia produced by fish into nitrates. Size it according to the volume of the pond and its stocking level: a koi pond or a heavily stocked aquaponic system needs a filter rated for a volume well above the actual volume. Pressurised filters hide in the landscaping and can send water up to a waterfall; submersible filters sit on the bottom and go unnoticed.

A filter fitted with a UV-C clarifier also eliminates the suspended algae that cause green water. Replacement foams and media are in Filter media, and the article Green pond water will help you choose.
