Discover all our turnkey aquariums, kits and greenhouses to get started in aquaponics
Choosing an aquaponics system starts with asking yourself the right questions. How much space can you really dedicate to it? How much time do you want to spend on it, each day or each week? And above all, what do you hope to get out of it: the pleasure of a few herbs, an educational experience to share, or a real harvest to feed yourself?
A living room aquarium doesn't require the same setup time or the same budget as a greenhouse designed to produce all year round. So every project has its own format.
Here you will discover the different models offered by Univers Aquaponie, from the most accessible to the most ambitious. For each one, you will know who it is for, what it lets you do and how it works. The badge next to each photo takes you straight to the product page.
Univers Aquaponie also offers exclusive deals and benefits on these kits and greenhouses: discounts, or exceptional gifts to be won, for every order placed through Univers Aquaponie.

T'Air Eau buried kit
The T'Air Eau buried kit combines two tanks set into the ground. One serves as a rearing pond for edible fish, such as trout, brook trout or perch; the other is used to grow fruit and vegetables over about 2 m². It is a low-tech model with very low energy use: a single 27 W air pump circulates the water. Buried in the ground, the tanks benefit from better thermal insulation, and the fish stay sheltered from light.

- Production: up to 30 kg of fish and 70 kg of vegetables per year (500 L), more than 50 kg of fish (1000 L)
- Energy: a single 27 W air pump, no water pump
- Groundwork: excavation required before assembly

- Upkeep: daily feeding, weekly water monitoring and harvests

Taravo and Estéron kits
Taravo and Estéron are two highly refined designs, built on honeycomb-shaped hexagonal modules made of French Douglas fir. Designed and handcrafted in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, they offer a careful finish and a genuine vegetable harvest. A resting bench is built into the structure: you can sit down to read while listening to the flowing water, as if by a river. The Taravo takes up about 4 m² of floor space, the Estéron about 6 m².

MyFarm vertical tower kit
The MyFarm kit is a complete setup to install in an existing greenhouse. It includes 12 vertical growing towers and a pond of about 400 liters, for more than 100 planting spots in very little floor space. It delivers a fine, human-scale vegetable harvest, mainly lettuce, strawberries and herbs. Because the towers grow upward, the greenhouse keeps room for other crops alongside.
Who is it for?
It is for those who already own a greenhouse and want to produce more in it, without giving up their other crops. Without a greenhouse to house it, it loses its appeal.
- Space required: an existing greenhouse of at least 5 m²
- Fish: 40 to 80 small ornamental fish
- Harvest: lettuce, strawberries and herbs, more than 100 plants
- Upkeep: daily feeding and about 30 minutes of monitoring per week
- Assembly: one day, with common tools
Offered by Univers Aquaponie: from €150 to €250 of consumables of your choice, depending on the version.

Who is it for?
It is for city dwellers who have no garden but do have a nice balcony or terrace able to bear a load of about 700 kg. Without aiming for self-sufficiency, it already delivers fine vegetable harvests every year; the fish, for their part, are ornamental fish.
- Space required: 3.56 m² footprint (230 x 154 cm)
- Fish: ornamental fish, 300 L pond
- Harvest: up to 100 kg of vegetables per year, for 1 to 2 people
- Structure: tempered glass, 13 vertical growing towers
- Power: under 60 W, on a standard outlet
Myfood Family greenhouse
The Myfood Family is a large bioclimatic greenhouse made of tempered glass and aluminum, available in 11, 22 or 44 m². Bright and connected, it ventilates itself thanks to its automatic vents and lets you harvest up to 400 kg of vegetables per year, enough to feed 3 to 4 people. It is a real living space at the bottom of the garden, where you grow through the seasons among the vertical towers.
Who is it for?
Its large 22 or 44 m² sizes are aimed at people seeking self-sufficiency in fruit and vegetables. The fish, for their part, remain ornamental fish. It is therefore particularly well suited to gardeners who want a modern, connected greenhouse, to schools introducing students to aquaponics, but also to care facilities and municipalities creating places to live and meet. You need to allow enough space and a concrete slab able to support the weight of the greenhouse.
- Space required: 11, 22 or 44 m² of greenhouse, on a concrete slab
- Fish: 40 goldfish supplied, two 600 L ponds
- Harvest: up to 400 kg of vegetables per year, for 3 to 4 people
- Upkeep: about two hours per week
- Structure: tempered glass and aluminum, automatic vents

Frequently asked questions about aquaponics kits and greenhouses
Which aquaponics kit should I choose to get started?
For a first indoor experience, the Aquapouss'Mini is the simplest: a 43-liter aquarium topped with a grow bed, which sits in a living room or a classroom. In the garden, the Naps and the Géraldine are the most accessible kits, with simple assembly and a modest budget. The quiz at the bottom of the page helps you refine your choice according to your space and your wishes.
How much does an aquaponics kit or greenhouse cost?
Expect to pay less than €500 for an indoor aquaponics aquarium, from around €900 to a little over €8,000 for a garden kit, and from €4,000 to more than €9,000 for an equipped aquaponics greenhouse. The Baromate, designed for businesses, is rented by the month with upkeep included. The exact price of each model is shown on its product page.
Can you eat the fish raised in aquaponics?
Yes, provided you choose a system designed for it. The T'Air Eau buried kit, the Glaez Symbiose kit and the Hélio greenhouse can house fish intended to be eaten, for example trout, brook trout or perch. The aquariums, small garden kits and Myfood greenhouses work with ornamental fish, such as goldfish: you harvest vegetables and herbs, but the fish are not meant to be eaten.
How much space do I need for an aquaponics system?
An aquaponics aquarium takes up less than one square meter, indoors. Garden kits take up from 1 m² for the Naps to about 6 m² for the Estéron. Greenhouses range from 3 to 5 m² for the Myfood City, designed for balconies, up to 44 m² for the largest Myfood Family, which requires a concrete slab. Each model presented on this page states the space required.
How much time does maintaining an aquaponics system take?
The main task is feeding the fish, a few minutes a day. Add a weekly water check and top-up, as well as harvesting. A small kit therefore takes little time, whereas a large production greenhouse represents about two hours per week. The Baromate is the exception: it is fully maintained by the AURA Urbaine team.
Do I need a greenhouse to do aquaponics?
No. Garden kits work outdoors and aquariums go indoors. A greenhouse mainly extends the growing season and protects fish and plants from the cold. The MyFarm kit is designed to be installed in a greenhouse you already own.
