The TriPart Starter Kit brings together the three fertilisers in the Terra Aquatica TriPart system in 500 ml bottles, along with a 25 g sachet of powdered pH corrector. The system requires four purchases to get started: three fertilisers and a corrector. That is a lot for anyone who simply wants to try it out, and this kit solves exactly that problem. The 500 ml size comfortably covers a complete first grow, from seedling to harvest.
What each bottle does in the kit
Grow, the green
Nitrogen and potassium for the vegetative phase. Dominant during growth, it steps back at flowering. NPK 3-1-6.
Micro, the brown one
Calcium, iron, and trace elements, present at every stage. This is the one available in soft water and hard water versions. NPK 5-0-1.
Bloom, the pink one
Phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and sulphur. It increases when the plant moves into flowering and fruiting. NPK 0-5-4.
Adjusting never means switching products, only changing the ratios. At the first roots, all three are added at 0.5 ml per litre. During full growth, Grow rises to 1.8 while Bloom drops back to 0.6. At flowering, it's the reverse: Bloom at 2.4, Grow at 0.8. Micro never leaves the picture, staying between 0.5 and 2 ml per litre.

Calculation: 500 ml divided by the dose in millilitres per litre. Hydroponics and coco fibre doses taken from the official application chart; reduce by approximately 15 per cent for soil.
Read column by column, this table gives a misleading picture: during growth it looks as though the Grow runs out first, during flowering it appears to be the Bloom. The real answer comes from adding up all five stages of the cycle. One litre of solution taken from first roots through to the end of flowering uses 6.1 ml of Grow, 6.3 ml of Micro and 6.0 ml of Bloom. At that rate, 500 ml of Micro covers around 79 litres of solution over a full cycle, compared with 82 for the Grow and 83 for the Bloom: it's the Micro bottle that runs dry first, because it's the only one working at a sustained dose from start to finish, while the other two take turns.
Two practical adjustments worth making to these figures. A leafy crop grown without flowering, lettuces, spinach, rocket, basil, barely touches the Bloom and empties the Grow far faster than the table suggests: enough to grow all year round, as our guide what to plant through the seasons explains. And these litres are litres of prepared solution, not litres of reservoir: on a 20-litre tank refreshed every two weeks, 416 litres represents around twenty batches, or nearly ten months. The Micro bottle is also the only one available in two versions to suit your water supply, in soft water or hard water form.
Soft water or hard water: the one thing to decide before ordering
It is the Micro bottle that changes, not the other two. The reference point is 70 mg of calcium per litre: below that, use the soft water version; above it, use the hard water version. Your water supplier's annual analysis will give you this figure, and an aquarium hardness test kit works just as well. A white deposit in the kettle is a good indicator of hard water.
The one action that makes all the difference: adding them separately
Each bottle is added separately to the water, stirring between each one, and rinsing the measure in between. Two concentrates brought into direct contact will precipitate: the calcium in Micro and the phosphorus in Bloom form a sediment that sinks to the bottom and can no longer be absorbed. pH is adjusted last, once all three have been added.
The Micro bottle carries a hazard statement, H318, it causes serious eye damage, so wear safety glasses and gloves when measuring it out. The other two are not classified as hazardous. Once diluted in the reservoir at working doses, none of the three presents this risk.
When the 500 ml runs out, each part can be purchased separately in the format that suits you: TriPart Grow, Micro soft water or Micro hard water, and TriPart Bloom. After the kit: what to reorder and in what order
The order follows the table above. The first bottle to reorder is the Micro, in the version that matches your water: Micro soft water for osmosis water, rainwater, or low-hardness water, Micro hard water for tap water in most regions. It is also the only one of the three you cannot afford to run out of: it carries calcium, iron, and trace elements, and a solution without Micro will show deficiencies within days, as our article on micro-deficiencies explains.
The second bottle depends on what you are growing, not on the order in the box. For leaves, lettuces, spinach, herbs, it is the TriPart Grow that gets used up, with the Bloom sitting at the back of the cupboard for an entire season. For fruits, tomatoes, strawberries, peppers, cucumbers, it is the TriPart Bloom that takes over from pre-flowering onwards, reaching 2,4 ml per litre. There is no obligation to reorder all three at once or in the same size.
The size is, in fact, the real way to save money. At prices from 25 August 2026, a 500 ml bottle of Grow at 9,90 euros works out at 19,80 euros per litre of product, the one-litre bottle at 13,90 euros, and the 5-litre container at 42,90 euros comes down to 8,58 euros per litre: moving from 500 ml to 5 litres cuts the price per millilitre by more than half. The Micro follows the same logic: 9,90 euros for 500 ml, 14,90 euros for one litre, 49,90 euros for 5 litres, which is 9,98 euros per litre. It is worth doing the maths on the Micro first, since it is the one you go through fastest.
That leaves the pH- powder sachet. It is useful for getting started, not for the long term: a powder is measured out by the tip of a spoon, absorbs moisture once the sachet is open, and does not allow the precise, incremental corrections that are the only reliable method. Liquid pH- can be dosed drop by drop, keeps well when closed without degrading, and its effect is immediately visible on the meter. It is the most worthwhile replacement in the kit. If you want to be able to adjust in both directions, the pH- and pH+ duo adds the ability to raise pH as well.

Only one bottle differs between the two versions of the kit: the Micro. The Grow, the Bloom, and the pH correction sachet are exactly the same. If you choose the wrong version, all is not lost, the kit remains usable, but the solution will slowly drift towards excess or deficiency of calcium, with symptoms that typically take two to three weeks to appear.

The kit contents — three 500 ml bottles plus a 25 g sachet of powdered pH- — have been cross-referenced against two independent sources: a French retailer data sheet and the manufacturer's own online shop. The NPK formulas are those printed on the bottle labels. The dosages, pH ranges, and breakdown by growing method come from the official application chart. The H318 classification for the Micro bottle is taken from its French safety data sheet, version 9 dated 25 July 2024. The 70 mg calcium per litre threshold is a reference point cross-checked against two retailer data sheets and has not been found verbatim in any manufacturer document. The 2.1 kg weight is taken from the supplier's price list.
What each of the three bottles in the kit does
The kit contains all three, and it is the ratio between them that shifts throughout the cycle. This table shows which one dominates at each stage, and which one requires a careful eye.
