The three TriPart fertilisers and the pH corrector, one litre each

This pack brings together the four one-litre bottles that make up a complete hydroponic nutrient solution: the three parts of the Terra Aquatica TriPart system, Grow, Micro, and Bloom, plus the pH- corrector without which the first three cannot perform at their best. It is the direct successor to the General Hydroponics Flora Series, the most widely used three-part system in the world, now manufactured in Fleurance in the Gers.

The principle can be summed up in one sentence: three concentrates whose proportions are adjusted throughout the cycle, rather than a single fertiliser that compromises at every stage. Grow carries the nitrogen and potassium needed for growth, Bloom the phosphorus and potassium needed for flowering, and Micro permanently supplies the calcium, iron, and trace elements that the other two lack. pH- keeps the solution within the range where all of this remains available for uptake.

Why the 1 L size, not the 500 ml

What it covers

Around 555 L of solution at the full growth dose, and considerably more at stages where doses are lower. One season across several tanks.

The Starter Kit, alongside

In 500 ml, it is suitable for trialling the system on a first grow bed. This pack is aimed at those who have already done that test.

The corrector in a proper bottle

The Starter Kit contains a sachet of powdered pH-, enough to get started. This is a litre of liquid pH-, which can be dosed to the drop.

What the pack covers, and what it costs to use

Four one-litre bottles sounds abstract until you convert it into litres of solution. Here is what each bottle covers, at the two doses that define the cycle.

One-litre bottleGrowth doseLitres of solutionFlowering doseLitres of solution
TriPart Grow1.8 ml per litre555 litres0.8 ml per litre1250 litres
TriPart Micro1.2 ml per litre833 litres1.6 ml per litre625 litres
TriPart Bloom0.6 ml per litre1666 litres2.4 ml per litre416 litres

Calculation: 1000 ml divided by the dose in millilitres per litre. Hydroponics and coco fibre doses taken from the official feed chart; reduce by approximately 15 per cent for soil growing.

Over a full cycle, adding up the five stages gives 6.1 ml of Grow, 6.3 ml of Micro and 6.0 ml of Bloom per litre of solution. At that rate, the Micro bottle covers roughly 158 litres of solution from seedling to harvest, and it is the first to run out, because it works at every stage while the other two take turns. Based on a 30-litre reservoir refreshed every two weeks, the full set comfortably lasts an entire season.

Per 100 litres of solutionFull growthCostFloweringCost

TriPart Micro120 ml1.68 euro160 ml2.23 euros
TriPart Bloom60 ml0.78 euro240 ml3.12 euros
All three fertilisers360 ml4.80 euros480 ml6.39 euros

Calculation method: the pack retails at 54.90 euros as of 25 August 2026, while the four bottles bought individually come to 58.60 euros, a saving of 6.3 per cent. We distribute this discount proportionally across each bottle's individual price, giving 13.02 euros per litre of Grow, 13.96 per litre of Micro, 13.02 per litre of Bloom and 14.90 per litre of pH-. The cost per 100 litres is that price per millilitre multiplied by the dose. pH- is not included: it has no fixed dose per litre, it depends on your water supply.

In other words, a 100-litre reservoir of complete solution costs less than five euros in fertiliser during growth and less than seven euros during flowering, pH correction not included. That is the figure to keep in mind when comparing with a ready-to-use fertiliser sold by the litre of solution. For those who have not yet tried the system, the 500 ml Starter Kit covers the same uses over volumes four times smaller; and if you get through one of the three parts particularly quickly, it remains more economical to repurchase that bottle alone in the 5-litre format, for example TriPart Micro soft water or its hard water version. Our guide on which fertiliser to use places this system in context alongside other options.

Soft water or hard water: the only thing you need to decide

It is the Micro bottle that changes, not the other three. The reference point is 70 mg of calcium per litre in your water: below that, use the soft-water version; above it, use the hard water version, which applies to the majority of French water supplies. Your water company's annual report will give you this figure; an aquarium hardness test kit works just as well.

How to use it day to day

Fill the reservoir, add each part separately while rinsing the measuring cap between each addition, mix, then adjust the pH last using pH-. The order matters for a precise chemical reason: the calcium in Micro and the phosphorus in Bloom, if brought into contact in concentrated form, produce an insoluble phosphate that sinks to the bottom of the container and becomes unavailable to anyone. Once diluted, they coexist without issue. The calculator on this page converts the doses for your volume, and the official application chart is available to download at the bottom of the page.

Two of the four bottles require eye protection

The Micro is classified H318, it causes serious eye damage. The pH- is classified H314, corrosive, at pH 1. Wear gloves and goggles when measuring out doses, rinse thoroughly and seek medical advice if any splashing occurs. Grow and Bloom are not classified as hazardous. Once everything is diluted in the reservoir at working concentrations, these risks no longer exist.

This pack covers nutrition, not measurement. A pH meter or colorimetric test and, ideally, a conductivity meter remain essential: without them, neither the dosages nor the adjuster can do their job. See the water analysis collection. If your water fluctuates in both directions, the pH- and pH+ duo is a useful complement to this pack. And to lay the groundwork before you start, our indoor hydroponics guide is the right place to begin.

What the pack does not include and what you will need to provide

Four bottles don't make a complete setup. Here are the four items that are missing, and the precise reason why each one is necessary rather than merely convenient.

What else you needWhy you can't do without it
A pH meter, or a liquid drop test kitWithout measurement, the pH- bottle is dosed blind, and the target ranges in the application chart, 5.5 to 6.5 up to pre-flowering, then 6.4 to 6.8, become meaningless. A pH meter requires regular calibration with buffer solutions; a drop test kit requires none and is perfectly adequate to start with.
An EC meterIt measures the total dissolved salt load of your solution. It's the only way to detect that a reservoir is concentrating through evaporation, or that a solution has become too weak, before the plant shows any symptoms. It also lets you verify that the doses you've added actually correspond to what you think you've added.
A graduated measuring cylinder, or a syringeDoses range from 0.5 to 2.4 ml per litre. In a 20-litre reservoir, that means volumes of 10 to 48 ml, which need to be read to the nearest millilitre. Guessing with a cap is enough to throw the solution off by 20 per cent, and that error compounds with every top-up.
A rinse container, kept next to the reservoirThe calcium in Micro and the phosphorus in Bloom form an insoluble phosphate if they come into contact in concentrated form. The measuring cylinder must therefore be rinsed between each part, and a dedicated glass of clean water kept nearby allows you to do this without interrupting your workflow or walking back to the sink.

Both measuring instruments can be found in the water analysis collection, and our article on pH regulation explains what to do with them once you have them. One final point to consider depending on your water supply: this pack includes pH- but not pH+. If your water is soft, RO or rainwater, the pH will drop on its own and you'll have no way to raise it, which is covered by the pH- and pH+ duo.

The NPK formulas are those printed on the bottle labels. The dosages, pH ranges, and conductivity values come from the manufacturer's official application chart. The H318 classification for Micro and H314 for pH- come from their French safety data sheets, version 9 dated 25 July 2024 and the version dated 22 November 2023 respectively. The 70 mg calcium per litre threshold is a reference cross-checked across two retailer data sheets and was not found as stated in any manufacturer document. The volume of solution covered is calculated directly from the growth dose. This pack is assembled by us from the four references sold separately: it is not a manufacturer packaging.

All four bottles are included in the pack, each containing 1 L. The formulas are those printed on the labels; the dosages come from the official application chart, hydroponics and coco fibre column. The pH- corrector has no per-litre dose: the quantity depends entirely on the buffering capacity of your water, which is why its column shows zeros in the dosage rows. The hazard statements are H318 for the Micro and H314 for the pH-, taken from their French safety data sheets. Only the Micro bottle differs between the soft-water and hard-water versions of the pack.
