NFT growing channel 100 × 50 mm, 2 m long, no end caps
This NFT growing channel measures 2 m and its PVC profile is 100 by 50 mm. It comes with its removable pre-drilled lid and 4 cm net pots: 8 holes spaced 250 mm apart or 16 holes spaced 125 mm apart, sold singly, in packs of 8 or in cartons of 16 channels.
It is supplied without end caps, which makes it the version to choose if you are fitting your own end pieces or extending an existing installation. If you would rather have a channel that is ready to install, the version with glued-on end caps is also available.
The summary
- What it is: a 2 m NFT channel with a 100 x 50 mm profile, supplied bare so that you can fit your own end caps.

- Baskets included: one 4 cm basket per hole, so 8 or 16 per channel.

NFT channel 2 m long, 100 x 50 mm profile, supplied bare with its 4 cm pots
In an NFT system, a thin film of nutrient solution flows along the bottom of the channel, beneath the roots of plants placed in their pots. This gully is the 2 m channel with a 100 x 50 mm profile, supplied bare with its pre-drilled lid and its 4 cm baskets, so you can fit your own end pieces. It is sold singly, in packs of 8 or by the box of 16 channels, and it is used to build a line your own way or to extend an installation already in place.
📦 What arrives in the box
Each channel you receive is 2 m long, in food-grade PVC, with a wall thickness of 2.5 mm and a true height of 48 mm. The removable lid is pre-drilled at the factory, and each hole takes one of the 4 cm baskets supplied with the channel, one basket per position. The lid can be removed and replaced without tools, which gives you access to the whole interior of the channel for brushing between batches.
Profil 100 x 50 mm
The profile is 100 mm wide and 50 mm tall, over 2 m in length.
Removable lid
It comes pre-drilled from the factory and fits without any tools.
4 cm pots included
The box contains one net pot per hole, i.e. 8 or 16 per channel.
Made-to-measure length
The profile is cut to the required length before fitting the end pieces.
📏 Two densities to choose from
The lid comes with two hole spacings. At 250 mm centre to centre, it carries 8 positions along the 2 m length; at 125 mm, it carries 16. The first suits plants you let open out, such as hearting lettuces or bushy basil, which need around twenty centimetres between plants; the second suits baby leaves and herbs cut young. As the holes are drilled at the factory, you choose the density before confirming your basket, and each channel arrives with 8 or 16 pots depending on the version.
Fit both ends before filling with water
This channel only holds water once both ends are fitted. Allow for a solid end cap on the inlet side and an outlet end cap on the return side, at each end of the run, and seal them with PVC adhesive or silicone. Then run plain water through before planting: any leak will show itself at that point and can be fixed while the channel is still empty.
Filling 32 metres of channel in one go
A carton of 16 channels represents up to 256 planting positions, and the plants that fill them are prepared separately, a few weeks beforehand. The peat germination pods, sold in lots of 20 to 200, take the seed in their central hole and go whole into the pot as soon as the roots show through. This lets you start a full batch of seedlings on the same day, without compost and without disturbing the roots at transplanting.
🔧 Building a line
The same gutter is available as a module with bonded end caps, sold individually and ready to connect, with 5 cm pots and 15 positions in its tight-spaced version. The version without end caps is for when you already have your own end pieces, when you want to shorten the channel before fitting its ends, or when an installation needs a lot of length at once. The usual guide for the slope is about 1 cm per metre, so 2 cm over the length of a channel, and a line stays under a dozen metres so that the plants at the far end still receive a solution that is still complete.
📐 Supports and slope
Rest each channel on closely spaced supports, because 2 m of channel loaded with mature plants will sag between supports that are too far apart, and a dip of a few millimetres holds a puddle that turns green. For a long crop, such as strawberries or herbs trained into bushes, the 80 mm high channel gives more headroom under the lid. If the water comes from a fish pond, mechanical filtration upstream stops suspended solids from clogging this shallow profile.

Your estimate
It covers preparing your order and then the transit time quoted by the carrier, counted in working days.
It is not a guaranteed delivery date: public holidays, peak periods, customs or a carrier delay can extend it. The exact amount, in your currency, is worked out in the cart once your address is entered.
A 2 m channel cannot go to a pick-up point, and the carton of 16 channels travels on a pallet: plan for home delivery and for someone to be there to receive it. Shipping is from the workshop in Robassomero, near Turin. The exact charges and final delivery times are shown in the basket once the address has been entered. Outside the European Union, import duties and taxes are payable by the recipient.
