Healthy water is built on a good filter, regular water changes and, when needed, a few targeted products. A water conditioner neutralises the chlorine in tap water, bacteria start up and maintain the filter, clarifiers clump together the particles that cloud the water, and KH, GH and pH adjusters stabilise a pond whose water is too soft or unstable. Phosphate removers starve algae of their food.
