This liquid mineral flowering fertiliser delivers, in a single bottle, the phosphorus and potassium the plant needs to develop its flowers and fruit, along with calcium, magnesium, sulphur, and trace elements. It is dosed at 2.5 ml per litre at peak flowering in hydroponics and on coco fibre, and at 2 ml per litre in soil.
It succeeds FloraNova Bloom, sharing the same formulation.
The summary
- What you receive: a 500 ml or 1 L bottle, or a 5 L container, of liquid fertiliser NPK 4-8-7.
- The timing: from pre-flowering, mixed with the growth formula, through to the end of flowering.
- The dose: 2.5 ml per litre in hydroponics and on coco fibre, 2 ml per litre in soil.
- End of cycle: a nitrogen-free fertiliser takes over during the ripening phase.
Complete single-part mineral fertiliser for flowering and fruit development
When a plant moves into flowering, its needs change: it uses less nitrogen, as it stops producing foliage, and more phosphorus and potassium to form its flowers and then fill its fruits. This fertiliser follows that logic with an NPK 4-8-7 formula, twice as rich in phosphorus as the growth version. It remains a complete feed, so nothing else needs to be added to the reservoir throughout the entire flowering stage.
Finishing the cycle with a nitrogen-free fertiliser
During ripening, in the 10 to 15 days before harvest, this fertiliser gives way to the nitrogen-free late-flowering fertiliser, at 5 ml per litre in hydroponics and 4 ml per litre in soil. The plant then draws on its nitrogen reserves, giving you better-ripened fruit with no excess nitrogen in the tissue.
🌸 From pre-flowering to harvest
At the appearance of the first flower buds, mix 1 ml of this fertiliser and 1 ml of the growth version NPK 7-4-10 per litre, which softens the transition between the two feeding programmes. Once flowering is well under way, move to 2.5 ml per litre of this fertiliser alone in hydroponics and on coco fibre, or 2 ml per litre in soil. The target conductivity at that stage is between 1.4 and 2.2 mS, depending on the plant and the season.
Phosphorus is supplied at 8% and potassium at 7%, with 4% calcium oxide, 2% magnesium oxide, and 5% sulphur trioxide. Calcium strengthens fruit walls and limits blossom end rot in tomatoes and peppers, whilst magnesium maintains chlorophyll in the leaves, which continue to feed the fruits. Trace elements are chelated, and the DTPA iron remains available to your plants throughout the recommended pH range.
Handle the concentrate wearing goggles
The concentrate is classified as hazardous: it is highly acidic, with a pH of 2.5, it causes serious eye damage, and its nitrates can accelerate a fire. Wear eye protection, rinse with water in the event of splashing, and store it sealed between 5 and 35 °C, away from all combustible materials.
🍅 On fruiting vegetables
This fertiliser is suitable for tomatoes, peppers, chillies, aubergines, cucumbers and strawberries, as well as flowering plants. In hydroponics, you measure the pH after adding the fertiliser and bring it back to between 6.4 and 6.8 with a pH corrector, the target range from pre-flowering through to the end of flowering. In soil, the fertiliser is applied at every watering, at 2 ml per litre. On coco fibre, you can flush the grow medium with a flushing solution before ripening, to clear accumulated salts.
🧴 What each bottle prepares
At 2.5 ml per litre, the 500 ml bottle prepares 200 litres of solution, the 1 L bottle 400 litres, and the 5 L container 2,000 litres. The fertiliser complies with regulation (EU) 2019/1009, is manufactured in France, and is not approved for organic farming. Shake it before each use, as a sediment may form at the bottom. It keeps for 5 years after opening, away from sunlight and frost.
