Three-part hydroponics fertiliser kit, for soft or hard water
The three parts of the TriPart fertiliser system, Grow, Micro and Bloom, cover a complete crop from seedling to harvest, in hydroponics, on coco fibre or in soil. The 500 ml kit adds a 25 g sachet of powdered pH-, and the 1 L and 5 L sets bring together the three bottles, in a soft water or hard water version.
The summary
- What you receive: Grow, Micro and Bloom in 500 ml bottles with 25 g of powdered pH- in the kit, or in 1 L or 5 L containers in the bundles.
- Which version: soft water below 70 mg of calcium per litre, hard water above. It is the only element that differs between the two versions.
- What it allows: running a complete crop, from seedling to harvest, without buying anything else for nutrition.
- How much solution: enough to prepare several hundred litres depending on the stage. The calculator gives the details.
- Better value: the kit costs less than its three bottles bought separately, and each bundle costs less than its three containers.
- Shipping: 2.1 kg for the kit, about 3.6 kg for the 1 L bundle and 18 kg for the 5 L bundle.
Grow, Micro and Bloom together, as a 500 ml kit or in 1 L and 5 L lots
The TriPart Starter Kit contains the three fertilisers of the TriPart system in 500 ml bottles, along with a 25 g sachet of powdered pH adjuster. The 500 ml size comfortably covers your first complete crop, from seedling to harvest, in hydroponics, in coco fibre and in soil.
🧴 The role of each bottle
The three bottles are not interchangeable: each one carries part of the elements, and the solution is only complete once all three have been added to the same water. Grow and Bloom are set apart by their dominant element, nitrogen for the first and phosphorus for the second, while Micro supplies what neither of the other two contains. Their different colours let you tell each bottle apart when dosing, without rereading the label.
Grow, the green one
It supplies the nitrogen and potassium of the vegetative phase. Dominant during growth, it fades out at flowering. Its formula is NPK 3-1-6.
Micro, the brown one
It supplies calcium, iron and trace elements, present at every stage. It is the one that comes in a soft water and a hard water version. Its formula is NPK 5-0-1.
Bloom, the pink one
It provides phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and sulphur. The dose goes up when the plant moves on to flowers and fruit. Its formula is NPK 0-5-4.
Adjusting the feed never means changing product, only changing the proportions. At first roots, you pour all three at 0.5 ml per litre. In full growth, the Grow dose goes up to 1.8 while the Bloom dose drops back to 0.6. In flowering, it is the reverse: Bloom at 2.4, Grow at 0.8. The Micro stays present at every stage, between 0.5 and 2 ml per litre, since it is the one that carries the calcium and iron. In soil, the doses are lower, especially in the early stages: 0.2 ml per litre of each part at first roots instead of 0.5, then 1.5 ml of Grow instead of 1.8 in growth.
Check the pH of every solution you prepare
The pH- sachet in the kit lowers the pH, but only a measurement tells you by how much to correct it. The pH drop test from the same range reads from 4.0 to 8.5 on a colour chart, and its 30 ml bottle gives about 500 measurements. You use it with each new solution, once the three bottles have been poured in, to aim for 5.5 to 6.5 until growth and then 6.4 to 6.8 from pre-flowering.
Pour in each bottle separately
Add each bottle separately to the water, stirring, and rinse the measuring cup between each one. Two concentrates brought into direct contact will precipitate: the calcium in the Micro and the phosphorus in the Bloom form a deposit that sinks to the bottom and can no longer be absorbed. The Micro bottle also carries the H318 hazard statement, serious eye damage: wear goggles and gloves when dosing it. Adjust the pH last, once all three have been added.
The version of the kit is chosen according to the water you use, and it is the only bottle of Micro that differs between the two. The benchmark is 70 mg of calcium per litre: below that, the soft water version; above it, the hard water version, which contains less calcium since your water already supplies some. Reverse osmosis water or rainwater therefore calls for the soft water version. The annual analysis from your water supplier gives this value. For a soil crop, which is already rich in calcium, the hard water version is the better choice.
📉 The bottle that runs down
If you prepare the same volume of solution at each of the five stages, each litre of reservoir uses 6.1 ml of Grow, 6.3 ml of Micro and 6.0 ml of Bloom over the whole cycle. At this rate, 500 ml of Micro is enough for a reservoir of about 79 litres changed at every stage, against 82 litres for Grow and 83 for Bloom. The Micro bottle is therefore the first to run out, because it stays dosed at a steady level from the start to the end of the cycle.
📦 One kit and two lots
The 500 ml kit is for discovering the system, and its 79 litres of solution over a full cycle correspond to a first tank for the living room. The 3 x 1 L pack doubles this capacity, to nearly 160 litres, and suits an ebb-and-flow table or a few pots with a reservoir. The 3 x 5 L pack covers roughly 790 litres: a reservoir of that size renewed at each of the five stages, or nearly 40 renewals of a 100-litre reservoir, which is about 18 months of growing at one renewal every 2 weeks. Each pack contains the three bottles in the same size and costs less than buying those three bottles separately, which leaves you free to choose the size according to the volume of your set-up.
🔁 Reordering after the kit
The first bottle to buy again is the Micro, in the version that matches your water: soft water for reverse osmosis water, rainwater or water low in limestone, hard water for the tap water of most regions. The second depends on what you grow: with lettuces, spinach and herbs, it is the TriPart Grow that runs out; with tomatoes, strawberries and peppers, it is the TriPart Bloom. There is no need to reorder all three at the same time or in the same size. The 25 g sachet of powdered pH- covers your first preparations; after that, the liquid pH- is dosed drop by drop into the solution. To lay the groundwork before you start, the indoor hydroponics guide covers the set-up of a first tank.

What each of the three bottles in the kit does
The kit contains all three, and it is the ratio between them that changes over the course of the cycle. This table shows which one dominates at what point, and which one calls for safety glasses.

of each of the three parts, at the first-roots stage
These two stages are the only ones where the three parts are dosed identically, which makes them easy to calculate. After that the proportions diverge: in growth, 1.8 ml of Grow, 1.2 of Micro and 0.6 of Bloom per litre; in flowering, 0.8 of Grow, 1.6 of Micro and 2.4 of Bloom. In soil, use the dedicated column of the table: 0.2 ml per litre of each part at the first roots, then 1.5 / 1 / 0.5 in growth and 0.7 / 1.4 / 2.1 in flowering.
