This highly concentrated phosphorus and potassium mineral fertiliser powder replaces your usual fertiliser during the last 20 days before harvest. It is dosed at 2 g per litre in hydroponics and coco fibre, and at 1.5 g per litre in soil.
The 100 g sachet makes 50 litres of solution; the 500 g sachet makes 250 litres.
The summary
- What you receive: a resealable bag of 100 g or 500 g of soluble powder.
- The dose: 2 g per litre in hydroponics and on coco coir, 1.5 g per litre in soil, used alone.
- The timing: the final 20 days before harvest, in place of your flowering fertiliser.
- The composition: 42% soluble phosphoric anhydride, with potassium, magnesium, and sulphur.
Phosphorus- and potassium-rich soluble fertiliser for the ripening of flowers and fruit
At the end of flowering, a plant has almost no need for nitrogen: it is finishing off its flowers and fruit, which calls mainly for phosphorus and potassium. This powdered fertiliser meets that need with a content of 42% water-soluble phosphoric anhydride and very little nitrogen. Use it on its own during the final 20 days before harvest, 2 g per litre in hydroponics and on coco coir, or 1.5 g per litre in soil. It replaces your bloom fertiliser at that stage, whatever brand you normally use.
🌸 For ripening
Phosphorus is involved in energy transfer within cells and in the formation of flowers and seeds, while potassium regulates the movement of water and sugars towards the fruit. By sharply reducing nitrogen and increasing these two elements, the fertiliser directs the plant towards ripening rather than leaf production. It is used on fruiting vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers and strawberries, on ornamental flowering plants, and on herbs grown for their flowers.
Rinse the grow medium before you start
By the time you move on to a late-flowering fertiliser, the grow medium often contains salts that have built up over the course of the grow. An application of FlashClean grow medium regenerator just before the first watering puts them back into solution and flushes them out, allowing the roots to take up phosphorus more effectively afterwards. The same product is used again in the final days of the grow for the end flush.
The powder is very fine, 100% passes through a 1 mm mesh sieve, and dissolves completely in water. A sachet of powder can be transported without any risk of leakage, and a kitchen scale accurate to the gram is all you need to weigh out the dose. Pour the powder into the water while stirring, then measure and adjust the pH of the resulting solution.
Check the pH of the solution
The powder is acidic, with a pH of between 3 and 4, so it will lower the pH of your solution. Measure it after dissolving with a drop-based pH test, then bring it back to between 5.5 and 6.5 for hydroponics. Do not use this product alongside another end-of-cycle fertiliser, as the phosphorus levels would compound. Reseal the bag after use, as the powder absorbs moisture.
⚖️ Powder or liquid
There are two end-of-flowering fertilisers in this range, to be used one or the other, never together. The liquid FinalPart, with an NPK formula of 0-6-5, is dosed at 5 ml per litre and takes over from a liquid bottle-based programme. This powder, considerably more concentrated, fits into a lightweight sachet and works well if you already grow using a powdered fertiliser. FinalPart is used over the last 10 to 15 days; this powder over the last 20.
📦 Two sachets
The 100 g packet makes 50 litres of solution at 2 g per litre, covering the end of cycle for your potted plants or a small hydroponic system. The 500 g packet makes 250 litres, suitable for a reservoir refreshed weekly or an entire greenhouse. The powder keeps for 2 years from manufacture, stored dry with the packet well sealed. This is a mineral fertiliser compliant with regulation (EU) 2019/1009, manufactured in France, and is not suitable for organic farming.
