The summary

  • What you receive: a 30, 60, 250, or 500 ml bottle, or a 1 L or 5 L container of liquid concentrate.
  • The period: from pre-flowering through to harvest, including the ripening stage.
  • The dose: 0.2 ml per litre when watering, approximately 4 drops.
  • The yield: the 60 ml bottle prepares 300 litres of solution.

Algae-based biostimulant, ultra-concentrated, for flowering and fruiting

During flowering, the fertiliser supplies the nutrients, but the plant must also absorb them and transport them to the flowers and developing fruit. This seaweed biostimulant supports this phase without changing anything in your fertiliser programme: it is added at 0.2 ml per litre in the watering can or reservoir, from pre-flowering through to harvest. Its extract of the brown alga Ascophyllum nodosum is obtained by cold pressing and is suitable for use in organic growing.

Incorporate seaweed from the growth stage onwards

Cold-pressed seaweed is used at 5 ml per litre from the first true leaves through to the end of flowering. This concentrate joins it during pre-flowering at 0.2 ml per litre, and both are added to the same water at their respective doses. During fruit ripening, it continues on its own, so your plants receive a growth biostimulant right through to harvest.

🌺 From pre-flowering to harvest

You begin at the appearance of the first buds, at 0.2 ml per litre, at the same time as you transition to the flowering fertiliser. The dose remains the same throughout flowering, then during fruit ripening, including when the late-flowering fertiliser replaces the usual one. In soil, coco fibre, and hydroponics, the dose is identical, which simplifies preparation if you are running several crops at once.

As a foliar spray, the dose drops to 0.1 ml per litre, or 2 drops, in water whose conductivity remains below 0.6 mS, and it is applied only during pre-flowering. Once the flowers have opened, spraying stops, as the liquid must not be applied directly onto the blooms. You then continue feeding by watering alone, which is sufficient to cover the rest of the cycle.

Never spray on open flowers

Spraying is limited to the pre-flowering stage, applied to the foliage in the morning or evening. The label advises against spraying the liquid directly onto flowers, and thereafter nutrients should be applied by watering only. Shake the bottle before use, measure doses with a graduated syringe, and store it sealed between 5 and 35 °C, out of reach of children.

This product is a biostimulant, compliant with decree no. 2016-532 on natural substances for biostimulant use. Its levels of nitrogen at 0.3%, sulphur at 0.5%, magnesium at 0.1%, and calcium at 0.16% are too low to feed the plant on their own, with 7% organic carbon. You should therefore keep your flowering fertiliser at its usual dose, such as the NPK 4-8-7 flowering fertiliser.

🍅 A tomato greenhouse

Take twelve tomato plants on a drip system fed from a 100-litre reservoir renewed each week. You add 20 ml of concentrate at each preparation, alongside the fertiliser, then adjust the pH. Over 8 weeks of flowering and ripening, the treatment uses 160 ml, that is one 250 ml bottle for the season, or three 60 ml bottles. At 1,000 litres per week, a commercial grower would use 1.6 L over the same period.

🌊 A seaweed extract with no heat treatment

Ascophyllum nodosum is a brown seaweed from the North Atlantic coast, rich in polysaccharides and mannitol. It is extracted by cold pressing, without heating the seaweed. The product is approved for use in organic farming under regulations (EU) 2018/848 and 2021/1165, manufactured in France, and can be used in an organic kitchen garden as well as in a hydroponic system, where it is measured with a pH test once the solution is complete.

Concentrate or ready to dose?

Both support flowering and fruiting with a seaweed extract, from pre-flowering through to ripening. The first is dosed by the drop, the second by the glassful.

Concentrate or diluted version? The concentrate prepares large volumes; the ready-to-use version is measured by the glass. Three questions are enough to decide.
