This plastic support clips under a 100 x 80 mm NFT gutter and holds it on its supporting structure, where it is screwed in. Allow 2 supports per 1.8 m channel.
The summary
- What it is: a bracket that clips under an NFT gutter and screws onto the structure.
- Which channels it suits: the 100 x 80 mm profile, in bare channel as well as in terminal-block module form.
- How many to allow for: 2 per 1.8 m channel, so 8 channels fitted with a pack of 16.
- How it is supplied: in packs of 16 or 32 brackets.
Screw-fixed bracket that holds a 100 x 80 mm NFT gutter firmly on its structure
An NFT gutter must stay still and keep its slope, otherwise the film of solution gathers on one side of the channel and leaves roots dry. This support holds the channel from underneath: its shape engages in the grooves of the 100 x 80 mm profile, and its base plate screws onto the structure that carries the line. It fits the 1.8 m double-wall gutter as well as the module with glued end caps.
🔩 How it holds the channel
The channel sits between the two uprights of the bracket, whose inner gap matches its 100 mm width. Its shape slots into the grooves of the profile, which locks the gutter onto its support instead of letting it slide when you load it or knock against it. The base plate is then fixed to the wood, metal or section of your structure with screws, not supplied, which you choose according to the material receiving them. Once screwed down, the bracket fixes the height of the channel at that point.
Double-wall gutter
The bare 1.8 m channel, supplied without end caps, sits on 2 supports.
Glued-terminal module
The 1.85 m channel, sealed at the factory, sits on the same supports.
📏 Spacing and slope
Allow 2 supports for a 1.8 m gutter, positioned so that the channel does not overhang too far at its ends. A channel loaded with mature plants sags between supports that are too far apart, and the dip that forms holds a puddle that turns green; under a heavy crop, a third support in the middle prevents this dip. The slope is set on the frame, at about 1 cm per metre, and the supports follow it, since they are screwed on at whatever height you give them.
8 channels fitted with a pack of 16
A pack of 16 supports holds 8 gutters at 2 per channel, which matches the pack of 8 NFT gutters 100 x 80 mm, 1.85 m long. For a pack of 16 channels, the pack of 32 supports gives exactly the right number. This lets you lay the whole line in one go, at the same height and the same spacing, which keeps the slope even from one channel to the next.
A screw suited to the material of the structure
Fix each bracket with a screw suited to the material: a wood screw into a batten, a self-drilling screw into a metal section. A bracket that is simply placed lets the channel slip as soon as it is loaded or knocked, and the slope is lost with it.
🔗 A line of several channels
When several channels are joined end to end with a 100 × 80 mm NFT connector, the line only keeps its slope if every fitting is supported. Place your supports on either side of the connectors rather than in the middle of the channels, so that no fitting bears alone the weight of two lengths full of water. For a line of 3 channels of 1.8 m, that is 5.4 m of growing length, you therefore need 6 supports, and you then check the slope with a spirit level along the whole length before gluing a single connector.
🐟 On an aquaponic system
In aquaponics, the gutters are often mounted above or beside the pond, and the water leaving them returns to it by gravity. Screwed-in brackets then keep the slope constant despite the handling that comes with harvesting, and it is this slope that brings the solution back to the pond instead of letting it stagnate in the channel. Stagnant water lets the suspended solids from the fish settle at the bottom of the profile, exactly where your roots need room.
📦 What the set contains
The pack contains 16 or 32 identical moulded plastic brackets, each screwed onto your frame. Once in place, they stay fixed from one season to the next: you take the channels out to scrub them between crops, then put them back in the same brackets, at the same height and the same slope. If you extend your system later, the same bracket fits the added channels, at the rate of 2 per 1.8 m channel.

It covers preparing your order and then the transit time quoted by the carrier, counted in working days.
It is not a guaranteed delivery date: public holidays, peak periods, customs or a carrier delay can extend it. The exact amount, in your currency, is worked out in the cart once your address is entered.
